Fear is something, like anxiety, that attacks all of us at some point. When fear enters our life we have a choice, we can succumb to it or we can fight it off with the help of Christ. Below you will find a list of verses to aid in warding off fear and reminding you of God’s promises.
Isaiah 41:10 – fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
John 14:27 – Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
2 Timothy 1:7 – for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control.
Psalm 56:3 – When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.
1 John 4:18 – There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.
Isaiah 43:1 – “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.
Joshua 1:9 – Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
Isaiah 35:4 – Say to those who have an anxious heart, “Be strong; fear not! Behold, your God will come with vengeance, with the recompense of God. He will come and save you.”
Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”
Isaiah 41:13-14 – For I, the Lord your God, hold your right hand; it is I who say to you, “Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” Fear not, you worm Jacob, you men of Israel! I am the one who helps you, declares the Lord; your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
Proverbs 29:25 – The fear of man lays a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
Psalm 34:4 – I sought the Lord, and he answered me and delivered me from all my fears.
Romans 8:38-39 – For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Revelation 1:17-18 – When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, and the living one.
1 Peter 3:14 – But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled,

I love those from Isaiah! They always remind me it was hard then, it’s hard now… but God is the same! ““Fear not, I am the one who helps you.” I needed that reminder!
